WHERE HES FROM?
Played with 2 of the most famous Men’s fast pitch softball leagues in North America. The Clearwater Bombers and Tampa Bay Smokers. Highlight was representing team USA against the Cuban national team In Cuba in 1987!
He started Road Cycling (bikes) in 1996 thru 2011 with his sweet life companion “Billie.” He competed and trained 75,000 miles later.
He started CrossFit Droogs in 2016, but was a Crossfitter previously for a few years. “My first workout was a Saturday as a guest, I had Mal as my partner… (UGH!) WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?”
Favorite Lift? Honestly not good enough to have one (which is so not true)
Favorite skilll: anything cardio associated that “wears on” but we think he has beautiful t2b!
Favorite WOD: he likes chippers and body weight WODS.
“Getting older is mentally challenging, but if you can keep the competitive edge sharp, it makes the transition that much more enjoyable. I love working out with the younger athletes, keeps me feeling younger”
Dave is one of our 6pm guys, always comes in with a smile on his face and great at warming up before his workouts. He even earned a nickname… we call him DOUBLE B (BB) for bubble boy 😆 some athletes just need a little bubble protecting them, he’s one of them! 🤪 Thanks Dave for always welcoming new people when they come to gym to join us. We’re happy to have you with us and somehow are still smoking the youngsters being a master athlete!

Start picking your teams… 2 person team, sign up has already started on the board at the gym. Teammate must be 10 years difference. Each person will complete 2 of the 4 events. (DU-Row-Run-Bike)
