Owner/Head Coach
I remember my very first CrossFit workout… it was November of 2010. I had been active all my life so I sort of knew what I was getting myself into. Little did I know that 7 min of wall balls and burpees would have me sore for days! The high intensity of CrossFit and the different modalities that Crossfit Portrays is unlike no other. I think that’s what feeds people in… the unknown of whats coming… and how it’s going to make you better at just all around life. CrossFit has really become my passion since that day. After playing college softball and having shoulder surgery, I felt like there was nothing “left” for me until now. The sport of Fitness is something you can do for the rest of your life and at any age. You can still be competitive and feel like your “showing up for game day.”
Not many months had passed where I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I had done personal training, taught group fitness classes in your typical globo gym, put on pitching & hitting clinics, and coached teams, and all of that was great… but it’s nothing compared to the feeling of someone getting a Pr for the first time, getting their first pull-up, or seeing someone able to just squat below parallel with no assistance.
